Platform

Once a device joins, it is part of the platform

AID and certificates are how a device gets in; the SDK is how an application reaches it. Between the two sits what the platform provides.

AID + certificate

How devices get in

Every device carries a unique AID and certificate. Once provisioned, it connects with a verifiable identity and gains the platform's control surface, data channels and permission model. The AID is also the basis for authorisation and billing, traceable to the individual device.

SDK

How applications reach them

Applications use the SDK to control the device types the platform supports, and to read streams, events and state — without handling device protocols or connection details. One SDK covers every supported type.
